Cabanon Pyramide 6

Also known as the Pyramide VI before about 2002 and as a twin upright variant called the Pyramide 6000 this is a large Dutch Pyramid style tent. Very easy to put up with a good bit of room it offers all the advantages of Pyramid designs (quick erection and weather resistance) with space approaching that of a frame tent - though obviously with slopy walls

Rather bigger than other tents like the Relum Izmir, Hypercamp Eldorado/Hypercamp Rosas 4 and the Cabanon Pyramide 4 (obviously, also updated as Guadaloupe) so very practical if you like this style and need to house 4 in comfort.

The overall floorplan is 4m x4m (without canopy) and the main sleeping pod is 3.6m wide by 2m deep, probably a squeeze for 6 but plenty for 4 (or less). The living space can be extended by the additional of the accessory canopy which addes a covered and enclosed area of 4m x 1m outside the front door. For those familiar with other brands of Dutch Pyramid is it worth noting this has a proper sleeping pod, whereas Dutch tents often have a SIG/ZIG with just a curtain divider

Here are pictures of Nicola's Pyramide 6 from the 1990s in immaculate condition, complete with the extending canopy
Here is a closer view of the window and canopy construction, with the inner in the background

Reasonably common second hand (ie you can find them if you look) but they do go for good money too, especially in good condition. This is helped by the fact that it is still made in modified form under the model name of Barbados with an rrp of £899 (or £999 depending on who you ask), though that model comes with a sewn in groundsheet (SIG)

Used De Waard Albatros can be acquired from Holland for sensible amounts of money

Options to buy something new in this size new would be ESVO who will deliver to the UK, possibly the Hypercamp Palamos from Obelink or maybe even a new De Waard if you have the money

really need a good user review if anyone has some to share
